This is shift work, rotating between the following work hours:
Monday to Friday, 6am - 2:30pm
Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm
Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm - 1am
About the role:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with scheduled and reactive maintenance, minimizing operational downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on all systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and faults.
- Record and log all maintenance in MEX.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose electrical, automation and basic mechanical faults.
- Carry out electrical repairs on all equipment from cranes, conveyors, packaging lines, MHE, to other site machinery requiring simple mechanical repairs.
- Comply with NZ 3000 Electrical Installations and NZ Health and Safety regulations together with internal safety policies.
- Assist with incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Provide support with engineering projects and upgrades.
About you:
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in FMCG, logistics, or automated environments.
- NZ Trade qualification or equivalent.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, system operations maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
- Familiarity with automation systems, e.g. conveyors, STVs, ASRS, robotic systems) highly desirable.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- EWRB license advantageous.
